Jeepers Creepers (2 Disc) Release!?

I heard about a 2 disc version of jeepers creepers before but I didn't hear or read anyone confirm it. I bump into a 2 disc release of jeepers creepers.

Has anyone got it?

have there been other releases that were meant to be a single disc but have a rare limited release of 2 discs without being announced?

The Original DVD was a DVD-18, but once in awhile when MGM runs out of Blanks, they put the movie onto 2 DVD-9's and thats the 2-Disc you hear about.

Back in August I picked up the 2 Disc version of Jeepers Creepers. The easiest way to tell that it is 2 discs is by picking up the case. You can feel the "page" that holds the second dvd rattle in the case. The discs have no artwork on them. The last few times I have been to Borders all of the Jeepers Creepers have been 2 discs.

I found the 2-disc version at Best Buy a few months ago. Went ahead and grabbed it for $9.99. Ditto on the no artwork.

I don't think is the only reason. The 2 disc has more features unlike the 1 disc version and it clearly says "Special Edition" on top of the artwork.

MGM dropped the features and removed the Special Edition tag. the original release was one disc and a Special Edition with all the added features. the 2 disc is that same edition, only with 2 discs instead of one, probably for the reasons mentioned above, or maybe because people complained about them dropping the extras and keeping the same UPC so they reprinted some with a second disc. but this new mystery 2-disc doesnt have anything the original didnt.

I thought MGM discontinued the SE?

And the original SE was a DVD-14. The widescreen and full frame versions of the flick were on the dual-layered side and all the extras were on the single-layered side. So the two-disc SE is 1 DVD-9 and 1 DVD-5, similar to MGM's Bowling for Columbine (which had dual single-disc and two-disc editions).

MGM did unfortunately discontinue the Special Edition. However late pressings of the SE had two discs (with no artwork) rather than one DVD-14.

There were some previous threads on this topic that may be helpful:

This thread includes a llist of known one disc to 2 disc versions

hannibal is the same
the special edition has an incredible DTS track as well as another disc of extras
you can tell by this:
2 disc top of the spine: special edition
1 disc top of the spine: MGM | DVD

They are not the same!

The 1 disc version only has a commentary and cast bios.

The 2 disc version has:

Deleted and extended scenes inlcuding alternate opening and ending sequences.
Disrector's audio commentary
Behind the peeprs
a collection of 6 mini featurettes on the making of the film
photo gallery
original trailer
And more!

The 2 Disc version has 2 double sided discs!

I bought Jeepers at Coconuts B/M and I also bought Stargate 2 Disc (The last one) which is not OOP.

You're not getting it. The original release of JC was a 1-disc edition that had ALL the extras on it using both sides of the disc. It was called the "Special Edition". MGM later released this same edition, but used two separate discs for the movie and all the extras. After that, MGM released a new single-disc version that DID remove all the extras and is no longer called a "Special Edition". That's the version you see mostly out there now. But the original single-disc was the SE and had all the extras.

Yeah, why would this movie need four sides for the movie and its extras... Or did the 4-hour documentary finally get the greenlight?
