I hope so since I just returned the copy I bought and endured the 3rd degree over the fact that it was opened. I will have the uncut edition even if I have to send a horse head to Sam Raimi.

Looks like I might have to give the uncut a chance. I didn't like the remake at all, but these additions might make it a little better, and have definitely made me interested. Looks like I will have to pick it up if the price is right.

from dvd answers

Title: The Grudge
Starring: Sarah Michelle Gellar
Released: 3rd May 2005
SRP: $28.95

Further Details
Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment has released early details on The Grudge: The Extended Edition which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar. The new disc will be available to own from the 3rd May this year, and should set you back around $28.95 in total. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. English and Spanish subtitles will also be provided. The only other thing we know, is the runtime, which is listed as being 98 minutes. That would make it around seven minutes longer than the theatrical cut. I'm afraid we have no other details at the moment, but we'll bring you the full spec rundown (and the official package artwork!) shortly. Stay tuned for that.

I heartily concur, what a striking cover. I'll be all over this one. Don't mind the double dip at all.

Are the extras from the original disc being brought over or do I need to keep the old one?
