strange markings on village
 

I just received the village from amazon and the disc plays just fine but I noticed some milky rings all around the back of the disc. Is this the glue breaking down between the two layers and a sign of the disc going bad already?

Sorry. That was hard to resist. I recommend attempting to exchange the disc. The opportunity is usually timed. (I was surprised at how much I liked that movie. To quote Hellboy: "I'm thinkin' of doin' it myself.")

send it back...worst case you get a disc that plays fine with no white lines.

Aren't Disney/Buena Vista DVDs kind of known for this sort of thing? I have a few with odd colorings, but they all play fine.

By the markings we have found on our DVDs, we believe they were warning us.
