Out of print does NOT mean not available. Whatever has been shipped as of the date of OOP, is still in the pipeline and depending on the title, could be found in stores for a very long time. Master and Commander 2-disc was always a Limited run, one pressing and bye bye.

I can understand why War of the Worlds is a done deal....with the new edition coming later. But 1984? Whats up with that? Any problems with this disc I did not know about?

An explanation about the Sundance titles listed as discontinued the last couple of weeks:
The Sundance Channel is ending is deal with Showtime to distribute Sundance "branded" titles. This relationship ends March 31, 2005. Start April 2005, Hart Sharp Video will have the distribution rights for Sundance titles.
So far only 2 Hart Sharp release dates have been announced:
Die Mommie Die (already distributed by Showtime)
Book of Love (2004)
Both slated for 4/26/2005

i'm not sure i follow what this thread is.
it seems to be a weekly or random update of random dvd's that are going oop.
but instead of the first post getting updated so you can see right away what just went oop you have to read through the entire thread?
am i right on this?
plus, as an example, it seems to include editions of dvds that do or don't have a sensor on them but the one that does/doesnt have a sensor is still in print.
whats the point of a list with that info in it.
i'm just trying to figure out this list is all.
