But those are the no extras U.S. versions.

The UK discs are better with extras the U.S. doesn't have.

It also looks like the US version of Faster Pussycat may be 4:3. Does anyone know what the theatrical ratio was?

I believe it was 4:3 for all of his films. Well maybe not the big studio stuff?

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, The Seven Minutes and Black Snake were all shot in Panavision (2.35:1). All the others are were shot 1.37:1 though I'm sure some theatres matted (cropped) them to 1.85:1 and others showed the whole thing. More importantly Russ put them out at 4:3 on laser and started that way on dvd before his death so that should be the final word as to oar.

Not only that, but the UK disks are almost half the price ($15 US). Mine are on the way! Should have them any day now...

Please tell where you got them for $15? Arrow films website has them for 16 pounds which is much more than $15. There is one movie that I am tired of waiting for from RM films so I am considering this option.

Blaaargh, they don't have the one I would get. Its one of the double features. I guess I'll wait for one on ebay at the right price.

A FYI on the Arrow R0 UK PAL:
What you get in bonus features is offset by a botched NTSC->PAL transfer;
like the (French) DVDY Films release that suffered the same issues along with pixellation.

I had watched all the extras on the discs but hadn't actually watched the movies again so I wasn't sure about the jitter the guy talks about.

So I just watched "Mondo Topless" and there was NO jitter. Maybe that guy needs a better DVD player. :p

There was a hell of a lot of jiggle. But it was those bulbous melons that Russ so enjoyed.

Speaking of which, what are some of the DVD players you guys are using to view the Arrow R0 DVDs on?

I recently bought the six films from CD-WOW US, and I am looking for a DVD player that can be made region free, do PAL/NTSC conversion, outputs 480p over component, and, most importantly, has a 'widescreen squeeze' option that would allow a 4:3 DVD to be played in its proper aspect ratio over component video on my older DTV set, which forces all material stretched to fill up the 16:9 display.

Any suggestions?

I have a JVC progressive scan but I'm not sure if it does everything you need since I have a widescreen Mitsu TV.

heads up that xploitedcinema.com has most of the arrow titles for 15.95, and its in the US, so no customs charges.

i bought a few of these finally, and have been having a bit of trouble, which i listed over in international if any of you would be so kind

I have all but three or four of the last ones released. My good source on eBay didn't carry them.
