Two Women (DeSica)
There are apparently 4 different versions of this film: Alpha, Delta, Koch, and Madacy. I was looking for the best version. Which are dubbed and which are in the original Italian with optional subtitles? Which has the best subtitles? I really want this film, but it doesn't look like it's received the proper treatment. Is one of the four a hidden gem?
Thanks for any help.

I can only tell you this: the Madacy version was one of the very first DVDs I ever purchased and watched, Fortunately I also watched some of the other DVDs, because based on the Madacy disc, one would have to assume that VHS is a far superior medium.
The picture quality varies from pisspoor to unwatchable and the subtitles are totally illegible.
From what I've read, the other versions aren't quite this bad, but I can't really comment on them.
This movie needs some attention.....

DVDBeaver has a page on this film:

Unfortunately, this film has been very badly treated here in R1...and the R2 release, if your DVD player is region-free, doesn't offer English subtitles. NoShame is a new DVD production company which seems to specialize in Italian classics; hopefully, they (or some similar "quality" company) will take on this film, sooner rather than later.
