Throw in some buttery popcorn, sticky floors, and random cell phones/babies going off in the background and you got yourself a genuine full blown theater. Sweet stuff.

They are OPEN, I just leave the plastic on to protect the packaging. Just like all the other digi-paks and such there with the plastic still on.

This is my final version of the floating DVD project. I tried string, sticking the dvd to the walls using putty, velcro, and finally just used clear plexiglass to create 'invisible' shelves.

except of back to the future, the other releases you mentioned were released by independant labels, thats why they differ from rc1 or uk releases
since you mentioned saw
i recommend it, because its the best release worldwide with 3 discs (dc, theatrical version, ost)
this version is like a book
i read that the director's cut is still to be released in the us, am i right
i took 2 photos, maybe you're interested:
get that dvd

I'm not trying to be rude, because my question comes from major jealousy issues, but I don't really understand how people can collect so many movies.
I am nearing 100 right now and have been buying since Fight Club came out (is that five years?). I watch movies constantly, I love them beyond belief, but I just don't feel the need to own everything that comes out. I'll watch anything at least once, but I am soooooo particular about what I will commit my money to.
So, does it get to the point where you can think of nothing else except for all of tuesday's releases? Or is the point to build a collection that simply looks good and daunting to other people? Or do you just get caught up in the moment without thinking "do I really need another edition of Black Hawk Down?"
Again, I'm not trying to be an ass. I am honestly curious. But at what point do you think, maybe 3,000 is enough? Or when do you realize that maybe you don't need to purchase a copy of The Girl Next Door? Just seems with this many discs, the fun of picking and choosing has taken a back seat. The fun of buying the movies that you just love is completely gone.
Some honest replies would be great, but I will understand if some people can't think level headed and bash me for not having a big enough collection.

Where can I get some poster frames like the ones above? I would like some cheap ones for my dorm room because I got Sin City, War of the Worlds, Halloween, and Goodfellas posters.

Some people (like myself) build their collection as a library. I may only watch some of my discs every 5 years, but it's comforting knowing that anytime I want to watch it, it's there. Also, the cost of a dvd is equal to or less than taking the family to the theatre.
So, I say, buy what you like, as long as you enjoy it. Some people's tastes are more varied, and therefore they'll have a much smaller collection, whereas some people are huge fans of cinema in general, and will have large libraries. I've got 1300+ titles, and my wishlist is probably still in the 1000-2000 range between me and my wife, so I don't see the dvds coming into the household slowing down anytime soon.

but i have a hard time believing that some people can love or like nearly EVERY MOVIE. its all about opinion and i guess its good that people buy many dvds...helps the business and ensures that they will keep pumping them out.
