Glitch with my Seinfeld, "Chinese Restaurant"
I plan to exchange my Seinfeld Seasons 1&2 set but would be interested if anyone could confirm or deny a particular problem I have playing the "Chinese Restaurant" episode. At exactly "15:03" into the episode the current scene playing will freeze for about 5 seconds. When Jerry says "It's like the Bermuda Triangle. Unfortunately, nobody ever disappears." then the scene freezes up but the captions do show what words Jerry should be speaking(My Uncle to my Aunt, My Aunt to my Mother". My DVD player is a Samsung P231 that I bought this year and have had no other problems.

Yup, sounds like a defect. It played fine when I watched it. Bring it back. I have to bring back my copy of Happy Gilmore because of a similar issue. http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=402535

I did an exchange today and no longer have the problem with that scene but noticed a problem at exactly the time "12:28" where there is a quick freeze of the screen for 1 second but I can live with that if I have too but when I have more time I'll watch the whole episode for any more errors and if I find more problems maybe I'll check it out on my friends DVD player before I take this set back.

I tested my second Seinfeld DVD set on my friend's cheapie Sylvania DVD/VHS combo and it plays fine with no glitch at "12:28". Darn, my cheapie Samsung player is now my new archenemy.
