Anchorman and Best Buy Bonus DVD
I see in their ad that there is a Bonus DVD if you buy Anchorman at Best Buy this week. Do you think this will be in the single edition and the double pack?
That would suck if it was not in both.

I plan on getting the $25 double DVD set. I think that on the second DVD there is everything on the bonus disc, plus a lot extra. I'm going to try and grab a bonus disc (if they're not included on the single disc) while I'm there. I think if you're paying more money, then you should definetly get the bonus disc. Right?

Yes, I got it. Posted on another thread as well.
Here is what is on the Breaking News Best Buy bonus disc:
Today's Headlines - 10 minutes of 7 deleted scenes (most are good)
Special Report - about 7 minutes of footage (half is spent on one joke)
Commercial Break - 2 minutes of footage on the set
Ron Burgundy Exclusive - 8 minute Comedy Central's Reel Comedy feature w/ Bill Curtis
Plus there's an easter egg if you select the channel 4 in the right upper corner (long scene that's pretty good)
These are all exclusive to the Best Buy bonus disc.
There is a great deleted scene from Today's Headlines that features Jay Johnston (Mr. Show) and Rich Talarico (writer on Mad TV, SNL and performer at Second City in Chicago).
The only thing on the set that I found missing was the theatrical trailer (maybe I missed it).

I watched "wake up ron burgandy". Although clearly patched from disused plot strands (although they pretend it takes place after the orginal film) theres some pretty funny stuff in there. They must of shot multiple endings to the film since how "wake up" ends seems like it would have been "anchorman's" conclusion. It basically involves a subplot about a SLA-like group called The Alarm Clock. There's a ton of cameos that got cut from the orginal film from people like Amy Poeler, Laura Kitlinger and Steven Root. Also, Chuck D and Maya Rudolph had major roles completely cut from the film (as part of the Alarm Clock). Many of the scenes are alternate versions of one's in the film with different dialogue (like the crank phone call scene), as the extra features show them improvising a lot.
Major caveat: There seems to be dialogue censoring, on what's supposed to be a uncut dvd. At one point a character says "*****" and its bleeped, as it a later bit said by Christina Applegate. I think that's absolutely absurd.
Possible technical glitch: on the extras menu, theres a link to something called "film introduction with Will Ferell and someone else" which just starts the "wake up" movie as normal. It seems like maybe they're supposed to explain how the film was composed of extra bits or something. If anyone else doesn't have this problem, I guess I'll exchange it, otherwise maybe there's a recall or disc replacement in the making.

And now the news that the rated theatrical cut has ANOTHER commentary exclusive to it,and is said to be better than the "Uncut" commentary. I already wanted it for the changed stuff in the uncut, and now this. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!
