I was just being facetious. Going for an easy joke.

So many people hide behind a winking smile that it loses all meaning.

Another reason to cherish an unlisted number.

I disagree with the site saying 33% satisfied with A Christmas Story, actually I guess I disagree with the people that voted that way.

It's not a perfect site I admit, but the reason I posted the link to it was that I was reading a Netflix thread where someone was saying how they had trouble deciding what to watch.

I know that the site could be better but the only time I ever use it is when I don't know what to watch and I am open to suggestions. It's nothing I would use to decide what I would rent every time, but it is nice to use once in a while.

Also, it has recommended horror movies for me. The last one it recommended was May.

Nope. Are you?

BTW, A Christmas Story is currently ranked #150 on IMDB's top 250.

Too bad the site hijacked my Internet browser. That's my last visit.

Also, it appears they have a limited selection offering. Notice any trends? ...

Trainspotting
Y Tu Mama Tambien
All About My Mother

Nice concept, but no fulfillment. I'm almost weary with their questions as interesting as some were .. it gives them more time to f with the computer. I'm all set with that...

Yeah, no horror and no Miike recommendations. I guess they don't know me THAT well.

It told me to watch You've Got Mail... I'll figure out what to watch on my own.

As a low-tech alternative to these websites, this book I own has a "mood guide" to it's recommendations:

The 100 Best Films to Rent You've Never Seen by David N. Meyer

There are some similar books linked from that page as well.

(edited to add a DVD Talk referral to link)

I disagree with what some people that are saying that it seems to give everyone the same recommendations.

Here is what it offered me:

Election
Bullets Over Broadway
Little Shop of Horrors
Shakespeare in Love
Three Kings
The Way of the Gun
Cinema Paradiso
Scarface
Rushmore

Seen most of the recommendations. Hmm, I'm thinking the site has some merit. It hasn't recommended anything I think would really suck (but then again I'm not going to click all night!) :)

Cool... I'd seen (and liked) the first 12 reccomendations. The 13th was "Secretary". I think I'll actually have to check that out.
