Peter Jackson The Hobbit.
 

So, now that LOTR is complete, how many of you would like Peter Jackson to do The Hobbit? I think he could do an excellent job. Does anybody know if he was thinking of doing the Hobbit in the future?

I would say this is going to happen. He has most of the movie sets and props to make another one, so it shouldn't cost as much as LOTR did. I'd expect filming to begin in 2006, and probably an official announcement sometime next summer.

Quick answer is that it's tied up in copyright issues. MGM is being sold to Sony so it's highly doubtful.

Jack's right, you have to ask what do you think would be on the extended dvd to post this here.

I'm thinking some kind of arrangement between the distributors and owners will be solved. Like PJ said, he's booked until the end of 2005, so they can fight amongst themselves for another year.

Yup. and if it has an insert. Can't forget about that insert. Might want to also complain about the potential Big head cover that will be used on it. Since it would be half sony, might aswell start a poll on which version (superbit or Collectors pack) people will be buying. ;)
