Modern Problems [Chevy Chase] -- February 22nd

So...I pop in Silver Streak just now and check out their "Special Features" which basically consist of the Trailer for SS and some other random trailers.

One of those trailers happens to be for Chevy Chase's 80s flick "Modern Problems".

Surfed on over to 'ol Amazon.com and it's up there with a release date of February 22nd.

Hopefully, Under the Rainbow is next.

Love this movie, even though it is kinda terrible. I saw it when I was just a little kid and thought Chevy Chase was only tickling his girlfriend under the covers (you know the scene)....little did I know back then

Well, it was going around here for quite some time that Silver Streak was rumoured to be FS and it wasn't...so, i'm holding out hope and won't jump to conclusions. AND it was $5.50 to boot!!

Sorry 'bout that FOX!

If I recall correctly, this was shown open matte on TV, and it really suffered. You could see stuff you really weren't supposed to see (equipment and so forth).

It's $8.99 at Deep Discount Dvd and is Anamorphic Widescreen.

Damn, first I forgot Ice Pirates came out this month and now I'm reminded of this one. Well, off to Best Buy I go. I remember seeing this one with my parents when I was 10 and being so embarassed during the "sex" scene. With this and 9 to 5, I now have the best 2 Dabney Coleman movies ever!

It's not that I forgot....I could not find it on shelves, anywhere! Time to place another order.

D'oh! I forgot all about this release! Damn! I'm going to have to go and look for it.

It's funny that some of these older movies, which some consider terrible but are sentimental favorites for others, are so hard to find. Just recently I've found new release discs like Orca, Cloak & Dagger, and Ice Pirates were pretty tough to find.

I always liked Modern Problems. I think Chevy was at his best in films like this, Fletch and the original Vacation movie.
