The reason why the turn around from the theater to dvd was so quick was so that Miramax could lessen their losses due to imports.

Wow I was really considering buying the US version since the version I have is without DTS and has that annoying pop-up thing on it. But those reviews are pretty terrible so there is no way in hell Im going to pick it up now. I may just head to Chinatown to upgrade from a different region again.

I have the extended version and the colours are very faded looking and there is an annoying "FACE" water mark that appears at the top left corner every 10 minutes. Not worth buying.

and of course cd-wow.com include free world wide shipping in price and its usually £8.99 there... has been for long long time.

I bought the Region 0 version a few months ago off of ebay. After watching it, I decided to sell it cause I wouldn't watch it again.
When I tried to sell it on ebay, a guy from miramax told ebay to remove my auction stating that they had intellectual rights to it. Pissed me off!!! I emailed him asking for an explanation and he didnt respond. Ebay said that if I posted it again, my account would be removed. |
Originally posted by taxidriver6 DDDHouse has the R3 Edko version for roughly $18 shipped. The Korean 2-disk is available@ MrKwang.com for $30.00. Both versions are thought of highly as an alternative to the more expensive R2 Japanese disc. I believe the R3 Edko is actually R0. Can someone confirm this??? |
Wow I was really considering buying the US version since the version I have is without DTS and has that annoying pop-up thing on it. All this has been hashed out a million times in the International DVD discussions on this forum. Look there and to DVD Beaver's comparisons before making the wrong purchasing decision! I strongly urge everyone to buy the best available DVD that your system is capable of playing, but if you're going to wade into the waters of international purchase, you need to do your homework first. There are bazillions of low quality DVDs and bootlegs to avoid, and sometimes it's hard to know what you're getting. Take the time to do a search on these forums, and take advantage of the information and advice you can receive here. DO NOT JUST BUY ANY OLD DISC FROM ANY OLD RETAILER AND EXPECT TO GET THE ONE YOU'RE LOOKING FOR! |
