I knew I was getting Spiderman 2 SE and the Daredevil DC when I went into the store today. As usual, I walked around and came out $339 poorer. Here's what I got today:

Spidey 2 SE
Daredevil DC
Giant Robo: The Animation Volume One
Onmyoji II
Luther
Ultraman Tiga Reign of something
Eddie Izzard: Glorious
Eddie Izzard: Unrepeatable
Eddie Izzard: Circle
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter & Spring
Robotech Re-Master volumes 1-6
Jungle Emperor Leo AKA Kimba, the White Lion.

I already had the R2 Hero set and the R2 Casshern arrived in the mail today as well.

Does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? This tends to happen to me alot.

I usually just stick with what I was planning to buy. My budget can't afford anything else.

Yeah, what gives with the HERO transfer anyways? The review here on DVD-TALK makes it sound like the image transfer is superb, and goes on to give the disc the "collectors seal" or whatever they call it, even going so far as to close the review saying "buy this dvd, you will not be disapointed". Based on this, I was almost ready to buy it today. But then, every review I read after this has trashed the image transfer, making it sound like it is a real problem.

It seems to me like the reviews on DVD-TALK are getting very unreliable. It is too bad that I am beginning not to trust what is probably my most visited resource for DVD related information.

At this point, I think I will just Netflix HERO and see for myself. But how could the reviewer from this site see somthing so different than what everybody else saw? Are they reviewing on a 27 inch Funai or something?

This may actually deserve it's own thread......
