Muppet DVDs Going OOP?
Lately I noticed that Muppet DVDs are getting harder to find. I know about the sitiuation with the Muppet Show DVDs but I'm mainly talking of the movies and specials.
What I'm wondering is if we can expect new releases. |
They're out of print, because Disney purchased the Muppets and now controls all home video releases for that franchise.

damn...down with Eisner!

Time life is having clearance sale..9 dvds for like 50 bucks..including free shipping.
|
Will Disney rerelease the movies then? I wish they would restore The Muppet Movie for a SE DVD. The Columbia release was anamorphic widescreen, but the print used was in horrible shape.
Our luck though, it will be fullscreen only like Muppet Treasure Island. |
Thanks for the info. I'm sure Disney will re-release them. They really like money. I just hope they do a good job. The downside is it will probably be a year or so until they start working on them and I may not live that long!

This is one of the rare cases where I would rebuy a movie if they restored the picture on the Muppet Movies and maybe added an extra DVD with supplements. As much as I love the Henson Company, I never thought they did as much as they should have with the Muppet Collection.

I hope Disney makes widescreen editions of Christmas Carol and Treasure Island.
