Recommended dvd for Thanksgiving (family) viewing?

Any recommendations for a feature length dvd to show the family on Thanksgiving? Doesn't necessarily have to appeal to young kids.

Definately Planes, Trains and Automobiles! Easily one of the funniest holiday films around!

You might also want to try Home For the Holidays W/Holly Hunter(1995) equally very, very funny!

Mostly recent films...wasn't sure if you wanted holiday-themed or not.

Pirates of the Carribean
Count of Monte Cristo
Spider-man (too bad 2 comes out the following wk)
X-Men, X2
Mask of Zorro
LOTR's (long though)
Master and Commander (might bore some though, depending who you ask)
Catch me if you can
Frequency

'R' but not very offensive:

Last Samarai
Open Range (see Master and Commander)

You might not want your effing kids to effing hear the effing dialogue in the effing scene where effing Steve Martin goes on an effing tirade at the effing airport.

That's what I'd say. The best holiday movie out.

Or Christmas Vacation.

Maybe Elf?

The Charlie Brown holiday movies?

The original, Miracle On 34th Street is a wonderful kick-off to the holiday season and it does start on Thanksgiving Day.

I like The Homecoming (pilot for The Waltons). Very well done holiday movie with a great cast. Really a Christmas story but I like to watch it Thanksgiving to kick off the season.

As everyone else has said, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is, quite possibly, the best Thanksgiving movie of all time.

It can be had for $8.99 at Costco last time I checked.

It's obviously not feature length, but on the Garfield Holiday Celebrations DVD, there's "Garfield's Thanksgiving"...and you're covered for Christmas and next Halloween as well.
