Synopsis
Deceptively innocent at first, Audition finds Aoyama, a middle aged widower urged by his teenage son and film producer friend Yoshikawa to start dating again. Yoshikawa devises a plan to hold a phony film audition as a way for Ayoama to meet a new woman. During the interview process, Ayoama meets the beautiful Asami, a former ballerina with a suspicious past, Their courtship veers from polite romance to psycho-nightmare!

If they give us an uncut undubbed High Tension immediately on dvd. I will say yes. If not,I will say LG is the 'same old'(ie-excessive waiting for the uncut release..if ever)

Damn,DX....and just last night a friend and I were laughing at the prices on ebay and amazon for R1 copies of the film. The highest was $200,the 'lowest' was $120. We said no one in their right mind would pay that much for a dvd. I guess we were wrong

Lions Gate Films’ director of marketing Chela Johnson shared with Fango the DVD art for the new special-edition DVD of Takashi Miike’s AUDITION, hitting shelves August 23, which we first reported on here. Johnson also confirmed that one of the extras on the disc will be the segment on Miike’s modern cult classic from Bravo’s 100 SCARIEST MOVIE MOMENTS. The disc, which also supplements the uncut, unrated movie with new artwork, additional scenes, an introduction by the director and an interview with screenwriter Ryu Murakami, will list for $19.98.

Part with the old region 1 if you've still got it, but you might consider holding onto those R2/UK or German discs until some reviews shake out... early reports from a forum member suggests this may be a PAL-sourced transfer: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showpos...66&postcount=9
