Universal will release Surviving Christmas on 12/21 |
Wow....so Dreamworks hated releasing it theatrically so much that...uh...they gave it to Universal?
|
The rush all the big box-office hits onto DVD ....
Oh .... wait .... uh ....... Never mind. |

I wonder if they're finally starting to acknowledge how people are giving up on theaters altogether since too often they have a substandard presentation, and charge way too much on top of that.

I was reading in a thread somewhere and everyone was making jokes about it coming to DVD before Christmas. I can't believe all of those jokes will become reality.
|
HAHAHAHAHHAA oh man, I even made this very same comment in the discussion about the film.
http://dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread....s&pagenumber=1 Originally posted by Jackskeleton I looked for "Groucho" to be attached to this post, but found it odd that I didn't. I'm confused. It's scare season. Not x-mas season. People want to be scared. Perhaps if they hurry they can get a dvd out for christmas. |
Originally posted by Ted The Bug Universal distributes all of Dreamwork's films. You never noticed? It's kind of sad/funny that this movie is being released so quickly. |
Originally posted by Defiant1 Is this a new thing? My copy of The Ring is from DreamWorks, as are my copies of Chicken Run, The Prince of Egypt, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. |
Am I the only one that actually liked this movie? I saw it in the theaters and thought it was very funny.
|
wow, 2 months from theatrical release to DVD release....that must be some type of record

that is quick!

Originally posted by Star Wars Guy I just saw it last Friday at the theaters. I think it could have been better, but I still enjoyed it. Definately one I'd add to my yearly Christmas viewing list. Agreed. I thought it was damn funny. Even funnier? Most of the people who shit all over it (some critics included) didn't even see the film. |
Holy cow!!!! I thought this was a joke until I just saw it up for preorder at Amazon! WOW!
I guess it's a last minute cash in to try to break even before everyone forgets about it next year.... Crazy. |

http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?...=r%3D0%26s%3D1 DreamWorks has officially announced comedy Surviving Christmas which stars Ben Affleck, Christina Applegate and James Gandolfini. This Mike Mitchell directed film, will be available to own from the 21st December this year, and should retail at around $29.99. The disc will include both 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and 1.33:1 full screen presentations, along with English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extra material is set to include a HBO First Look featurette, an alternate opening sequence, a storyboard gallery and more. |
I'm pretty sure that any DreamWorks comedy flop's DVD cover features something large on top of someone's body, like buried under a large present, or buried under a big pile of money (Envy). They're creative.
|
That was quick, but I still think I'll give it a rent (especially since it's coming out right before X-Mas, so I'll still be in a Christmas mood).
|
Retailing for $29.99?
I'd pick this up if its under $10 |

That's a pretty poor attempt at a coverart. Did the designers PC only have Times New Roman installed??
Looking forward to picking this DVD up |
