Universal has or will release at least 25 different tv shows on DVD, yet no Rockford Files. I'm letting Universal Home Video know that me, Rev. Jesse Jackson, and probably Ralph Nader will be boycotting all of their DVDs until Jim Rockford shows up on DVD.

Universal did with Rockford.
They suck.

Furthermore, I don't have a limitless budget for DVDs. So when I spend money on DVDs, it will be on non-Universal products.

In addition, you should sell off any Universal DVDs you already own for $1.00 each, which will keep people from buying them new and giving money to Universal.
Please email me your list, and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

This is sort of like refusing to feed a pet dog until he stops acting hungry.
You know, every studio has something significant I'd like on DVD. But I don't boycott all of them because of this.
I've only attempted to boycott a studio once and I learned it wasn't worth it.

I'm upset that Universal hasn't released any episodes of Thriller on DVD yet. If they don't correct this travesty by next month, I'll be setting myself on fire in front of a Buddhist temple.

And don't flatter yourself. You're nobody special to me.

Since everyone else is attacking Wannabe, I'll play devil's advocate:
While I don't plan on boycotting Universal DVDs -- though I already buy few of them because they usually do a lousy job in producing them, routinely send out defective discs, don't bother putting any extras onto TV box sets, etc. -- I too am annoyed that they haven't put out "The Rockford Files," despite announcing it in a press release years ago. This is the show I want more than any other. WGN plays reruns, which I Tivo, but they typically cut at least one scene from every episode so they can play more commercials. And because most episodes of "The Rockford Files" were so tightly scripted, the missing scene is always obvious.
Actually, I wish Universal would just license "The Rockford Files" to some other, better company, so we can get something superior to the embarassingly extras-lacking "Columbo" DVD set they put out -- the one that Peter Falk himself didn't even know was coming out until shortly before its release.
