Same here....although it might take a long time for the HD version. I will just wait and see what the reviews have to say about the DVD version.

I almost want to wait, but I know I won't be able to afford an HD/BR player when they come out. Not to mention this has 5 hours of bonus features I wouldn't mind diving into.

I'm happy for all the "Lost" fans, but it's so disappointing that show after show is coming out so quickly and STILL no sign of "Ed" at all. :(

There's no reason to think it won't. Buena Vista's Alias DVD sets have 5.1. I can't imagine they'd be stupid enough to drop an already-existing 5.1 track.

This should be a good set when it comes out!

I didn't get curious about Lost until the DVDs were announced. I'm a sucker for TV shows on DVD so I started watching a few episodes. It's a much better show than I imagined and if there are no more changes in the price I'll certainly be picking the set up.

Lost - Spec Update: Disc Count Increases

Back in February I commented that I'd like to see a killer seven disc set for Lost, because I didn't feel six discs would work, given the number of episodes they were producing. Yes, a six disc set could hold all 24 episodes of the show (4 episode per disc), but would we be left with scraps for extras?

In the past week we've learned that the finale will be 2 hours, and there will be a special "bonus" episode airing in April, giving the show 26 TV hours of material. This news prompted me to call Disney again and ask about the disc count, and I heard back from them today. The set will include seven discs, not the previously reported six. This is excellent news for fans of the show, since it will allow DVD producers more room for the extras.

This is the second product Disney has revised in the past week. Last week we reported that the previously announced Full Frame release of Desperate Housewives will be released in Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1)

I saw the commerical and it looks good but I never saw any episodes though but since my Birthday is in September, I will be asking that for my Birthday.

That is a great point about the price of a HD/BR player. I guess with the bonus material I will pick it up. Looks like Amazon has a preorder for $38ish so the price is reasonable.......
