I've gotten many good deals. Recently, I got Science of Sleep for $12.99 brand new at a store that will remain nameless (to protect my friend), but I gotten the first 3 Seinfelds season for 19.99 each through a misprint in Hollwood videos ad.

I always look for deals, but don't mind if i can't find one.

Went to Best Buy on 2 separate occasions and the 1st time, the cashier forgot to scan Miami Vice season 1 with some other things I bought. I didn't realize it until I checked my receipt in the car. Saved $39.99.

The 2nd time the cashier was chatting with a co-worker and forgot to scan Jet Li's Fearless. Checked my receipt in the car and noticed it was missing. Saved $19.99.

Last week's $4.99 and 6.99 sale at Best Buy had some great deals on older titles. I think I picked up almost 25 titles.

One really recently was that I pickd up the Mel Brook's box set used (though it was still sealed new!) for $30. Since it was selling for $80, I consider that a really ace buy

Best deals in the last few months:
Target BF: 24 Seasons 2-4 $15.99 each
Walmart.com Samurai Champloo Box Set $25
Columbia House Pedro Almodoavar Set $20.98

Best DVD deal ever, well (HD-DVD) to be exact, was the B2G1Free deal at Gamestop B&M. Picked up 20+ titles at around $8.66 or less each. Flipped a bunch of them, mainly doubles, on ebay so I got most of them for free. It was an awesome way to kickstart my HD collection.

Personally, I don't consider gift card purchases to be deals, mainly because of the principle behind the whole thing (usually received through gift exchange, you usually get a gift card back anyway [well, at least I do]). I mean, I got the Seven Samurai re-release over at an HMV for $23.00 with $40 in gift cards, but since I spent that much anyway giving other gifts, it's not so hot.

However, I did pick up a sealed copy of the Batman (1989) 2-disc edition over at a Loblaws for $5.99. Apparently, having a small rip in the wrapping denotes a "Previously Enjoyed" film, even though the security seals were all still in place.

Yeah, I don't get that either. It may not be all of your money, but you're still essentially paying full price. It'd be like if someone gave you $20 (or however much the gift card is for) and you decide to use it on that purchase. The $20 would be the bargain because it was given to you for nothing.

Best recent deal -- Hustle seasons 1&2 set from DDD for approx. $25 (current price is twice that). Thanks to the OP who found it as a pre-order last November.

The oliver stone boxset for $15 AR at FYE was a great deal.
I got the Almodovar boxset $32 total at wherehouse.com (not as good as the CH.com but not too shabby).
Unfortunately with the 2/9.99 at BB I had almost everyone I was interested in so I only got 2 of them but the free tix to 300 makes it even better.
I also got the first 2 James bond ultimate collection used at EB for $40 total.

I bought The Drew Carey Show: TV Favorites for 1 cent plus S&H.
So I paid under $4.00 total for a brand new sealed copy of it.

Bought The Planet Of The Apes box set (with ape head) from an online retailer....They screwed up with UPS and they had to ship another set to me...While the 2nd set was on it's way to me the first one arrived...Two sets for one price! Flipped the extra set on Ebay for just under what I paid and got to keep one set! What a country!

Mistakes happen... a lot.

I work in a used DVD/CD store in which most of the employees have strong music knowledge, but are very weak DVD wise... pricing errors:

My So-Called Life - Complete Series ($40)
Timerider - ($1)
Spinal Tap- Criterion ($10)
MST3k - the movie - ($6)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs *sealed* - ($2.50)

Unfortunately while I lived in NY for a year, most of these were sold on ebay to make rent...

I actually got the Transambient DVD free recently at Circuit City. It had no price tag on it, and when I had someone check the price, he said "I guess it's free." I didn't see what actually came up on the screen, but he reasoned that it must have been offered as a free promo with something else, and got separated from the other DVD. I'd guess it's more likely something that was discontinued but ended up being put back on the sales floor, but in any case I got it for free, so who cares?

I guess it's not nearly as good of a bargain as most of the posts here, but I FINALLY found Spinal Tap criterion last night in a Strawberries. It was "used," but it's clearly never been touched. It's in PERFECT condition and has the inserts, and it cost me just under what the original list price was (it ended up being $35), which is certainly better than paying $75+ on eBay.
