DualDiscs???

Will this new format catch on(Blondie and Styx have new releases)? Music DVD on one side and a CD on the flip side.What about the problem of scratching that comes with the territory for flipper DVD discs?What music groups have signed on?Where does this leave DVD-Audio?

I have the one that The Donnas just released... the one that got recalled because the last song on the CD side cuts off. But the song is fine on the DVD-Audio side. There's a thread about it in the Music Forum.

The DVD-Audio side isn't very well mixed but I think that's more because of the material. There's a music video and a 15 min "making of the video".

Not bad for $9.99 at BB. I hope the idea catches on.

No problem about scratching (even in the car stereo)... didn't even know it was an issue with flipper DVDs.

Hmm. I don't have any problems with scratching on flippers.

Not enough groups have signed on to any of the high-rez audio formats. They should.

DVD-Audio will hopefully be the preferred choice on the DVD side of these discs. Time will tell.
