Gone With The Wind: 4 Disc Set
 

The set is impressive and I'm glad I traded in my flipper for it. Although, I'm a little less than stunned with the transfer like I was with the Singing in The Rain and Adventures of Robin Hood Special Editions. Perhaps because I never saw "Singing" or "Robin Hood" on DVD before. Perhaps.

Regardless, all the extras are worthy to make this the must have set for any fan of this film.

Hi Ian. There's already a large thread about this release. YOur post would be better in that one.

I am very estatic about this release! It's my favourite film of all time, alongside The Wizard of OZ and Cleopatra.

What type of packaging do they use on this 4-disc set? Like the Looney Tunes Gold edition?

Really? Because I did a search and didn't find anything of significance. If you're going to play mod maybe you could provide a link.

The four discs come housed in a cardboard-and-plastic case that fans out into five connected sections, the whole thing fitting into an embossed cardboard slipcover. Enclosed with the discs is a replica of the twenty-page booklet sold in theaters that initially showed "GWTW." Its original purchase price was twenty-five cents.
