Even though I already own the SE of TGTBTU, I'll probably still spring for the box set since the cost is less than buying the remaining three I need individually. Damn them for the lack of DTS though...

There was no such thing as DTS in the '60s, so...
I'd rather the space taken up by dts go to picture bit-rate anyways.

Is this the same Good Bad and Ugly as he current release? I am interested in the original version without the added footage and rerecording of dialogue.

Are they going to try to screw with the lips matching audio or record new dialouge to insert?

It sucks that they are not including the original mono audio for these releases however, I will still be buying them.

I could care less about the mono, the problem with the non-mono tracks is the sound fx. Talk about taking you out of a movie.

Sorry to derail this thread but Linn1, are you still working on the Shaw titles for Image?

Great cover. I can't wait for this, even with the changes.

Does this TGTBATU have all the little foreign movie poster cards like the original SE edition? (I've got mine hanging up and don't want to take them down to sell of the SE if I get the anthology).

It'd be cool if I could squeeze Leone's "Once Upon a Time" movies into that anthology box somehow.

Even though GBU is one of my all-time favorites, I ain't gonna triple-dip for that boxset (It does look nice though)
Gonna have to settle on individual sets for the rest of them.

I've heard that FISTFUL OF DOLLARS is supposed to be coming out on Blu-ray soon. Are the other films coming soon as well? That would be awesome.

That was the rumor when Blue-ray was introduced and Sony was in charge but I dont think I have heard anything of the BR release since then. I would imagine it will happen sometime.

Already have GBU, the quality of the packaging of the individual discs well decide if I buy them (it would be great if they were all the same style as GBU, but not counting on it), or the box, I am liking the box so far.
