Malcolm X SE --> Feb 8
From dvdanswers.com
Warner has also announced a special edition of the Spike Lee directed Malcolm X which stars Denzel Washington, Albert Hall, Angela Bassett and Delroy Lindo. This two-disc release will be available to own from the 8th February next year, and should retail at around $26.99. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extras will include an audio commentary by Spike Lee, Ernest Dickerson, Barry Alexander Brown and Ruth Carter, ten additional scenes with intro by Spike Lee, the Academy Award Nominated feature-length documentary "Malcolm X", a new By Any Means Necessary: The Making of Malcolm X featurette and the films theatrical trailer. Very nice looking cover. I will have to get this one. |
held off buying the current release. will definately be picking this up.

Nice.
|
I like the cover.
|
Awesome! This was one of those films that I thought really needed the special edition treatment. Won't mind double-dipping on this.
|
If I get nothing else in Feb 05', I am definately getting this !

Almost bought the current release this week. I can't wait. I kinda prefer the other cover, but that's small potatoes.
|
Great news! This has been on my "buy when ya got some extra dough" list for a long time. This makes it a must have.
|
Great news. I've been holding out on buying the crappy snapper for so long.
|
Phat! Nice to see an SE that I didn't expect!
|
finally!
here's hoping Denzel participates more than it seems.. |
Good news. Don't have the original, and I've never even seen the movie but I've heard it's pretty good. I'll have to give it a rent.
|
Well, the news for 2005 just keeps getting better and better...
|
The first release had the whole movie on one, one-sided disc. This one splits it up - not a big deal, though, as it's a long movie. I hope the break is at a good spot.

Oooooooh Yeaahhhhhhhh....

Nope. No intermission

Haha Great cover. I'm suprised the decency police approved the cover art. It looks like he's sticking up his middle finger. I think it's pretty sly.
Certainly not as blatant as the cover on my copy of Bad Taste (which was covered up by a sticker on the shirnk wrap). It'll be interesting to see if anyone complains that Malcolm is flippin' them off. .. |
That cover sucks. What was wrong with the simple X on the black background? Daaaaaaaamn.
Later. RJS |

arrrg, I wish that Warner announced this a few days earlier (say by 11/1/04) cuz then I would've traded in my current version to BBV for $8
Same goes for Titanic  |
