Just Picked up Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I went into the Orange County marketplace today. I actually went there looking for the first year of CSI, but was shocked when I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for sale!! Not only was it on sale, it cost me only $15 with no tax included. Any amazing deal. The box is different than the prior 2, it features a keepcase, and not a digipack. The overall picture quality is very good and the audio is outstanding. I couldn't believe I got this thing nearly a month early. WHOHOO!!!!!!!
If you have any questions about the set I'll try and answer them. I will also try and go to my friends house and scan some picturtes in to show you. |
I can't imagine why they would change the format from digipack to keepcase, so if it has a decent picture and sound, it's probably a halfway decent bootleg. Haven't seen the previously-mentioned pics yet, but it sounds like someone got ahold of the artwork for the actual upcoming release and made themselves their own early release.

if they did change it thats another reason i havent picked up the films yet... I want to just wait, get the megaset that may come out in a couple of years after 7 is done.

All the official artwork I've seen for this indicates a keepcase, most likely one of the slim doubles like for the Star Wars prequels. WB has been putting a lot of stuff in keepcases lately, they appear to have turned over a new leaf.
Also, are there any deleted scenes? |
If these companies are going to keep changing cases in mid-release (ala Harry Potter or Alias), I wish companies would provide a mail-in offer to get cases so the earlier releases would match the later ones. Yes, I'm anal about my cases and proud of it. :D

This is the one downside to WB ditching the snapper cases. They've apparently decided to abandon the digipack for their 2-disc sets which is a shame cuz I thought they really suited their classic film releases. And of course Prisoner of Azkaban won't exactly match the first two Harry Potter flicks on the shelf.

-ohbfrank- look who started the thread
;) going to a keepcase is stupid  yeah I'm anal too, maybe they'll eventualy sell keep cases for not only digitpacks but also snappers :) |
Originally posted by Canadian Bacon -ohbfrank- look who started the thread Funny thing to, I didn't know they had an orange county in Oregon. Besides that, are you even sure it's not a bootleg? I mean it is the Orange County Market place. A glorified flea market. Pics? Not completely out of the question a month in advance though. Most likely if it's real than it's an item that "fell out of a truck" if you know what I mean. Does it have the Promo stamp in the barcode? |
Oh it's a Booty for sure. That's why it isn't in the form of a digipak.

If this is your typical BS thread, dalvin, not smart to post it in the main forum since they will disect you more then I do. anyhow this thing was pretty funny:
Not only was it on sale, it cost me only $15 with no tax included. So... make with the pictures already. Tell us some of the bonus features.. make with the info. It's usually considered a bragging thread if you don't offer any info on what the product has. You are currently not doing a good job at showing what the dvd has to offer. |
I do know that it has hit the Net, and that i have seen the DVDR of it being sold at Markets around here... I bet its a boot
|
I was able to get it this weekend too. I also picked up ELF I was able to take a pic of this one. They are both real too.

Strange, i assumed he meant The Market Place, between Irvine and Tustin where there's quite a few retail stores.

Hey Dalvin, did you check out any of the deleted scenes? I really hope they'll flesh out the story a bit more, because as a fan of the Harry Potter movies (but have never read a Potter book), I was pretty confused during a decent portion of Azkaban.
|
No, it's real I know the seller. Here is a pic of the case and the sleeve.

And that elf looks odd. Nothing like the revised cover:
http://img101.exs.cx/img101/3152/elf...tworkpicr1.jpg But your pictures posted above pretty much comfirms it's real. so what to do. Any pictures of potter? Atleast there is some merit to the claim that it's not a digipack for Potter: http://img101.exs.cx/img101/3743/pot...banartpic2.jpg but it being posted by dalvin and bought at a flea market just sits odd with me. |
That Elf is real. Review copies (final product) went out last week, and that's what it looks like.
|
I don't see any reason to assume that the films in questions are bootlegs. People get early releases all the time. Unless we're talking about review copies here ;)
|
Why do people still respond to threads by him?
