I would include Fawlty Towers (BBC), Black Adder (BBC), and The Young Ones (BBC) in there, but I first saw them years ago, though never in their entirety until DVD. To be totally fair, some of these I caught the odd episode or two on BBC America before I bought the DVD.

I'm sensing a pattern developing here...
