I want to know opinions on the new set. Is there a review out there?

I picked it up.

You will either love it or hate it, there is no inbetween.

If you loved the cartoons as a kid, then you'll most likely be awash in nostalgia and not care that the quality is marginal to good. I don't think there's any fault in the DVD production, I think that the original sources were in exactly the quality you see here.

The "pop-up-video" style text notes on some of the eps is a nice touch and offers some very interesting facts about the show.

I haven't listened to the commentary on the 3 episodes yet, so I cannot comment about that.

All in all, I would heartily recommend this set to fans of the show. Everyone else may want to preview it before deciding to buy.

I should be getting mine in the mail tomorrow. Personally, I can't wait. I loved the series as a kid, not to mention it was one of the rare series I could watch with my sister and we didn't fight over the TV. The other one is Laffalympics, and they really need to put a set out of that.

I agree with the above post...if you really loved them, the reviews should not really be the motivation whether this is a must buy or not. Either you love it or hate it.
