Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind(two-disc Collector's Edition)!!!!

this makes me sick!!

at least they should've released the special collector's edition of Adaptation instead!

I don't think this is that big of a deal. Judging by the news on that link, there won't be any new extra features on the disc, just an extra book and the soundtrack. Those things I can do without. However, I would've liked to have seen a SE of Adaptation.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Like i said in the other thread on Eternal Sunshine, its no big deal, although i don't see why they couldnt have released them at the same time.

Packaging the soundtrack with the originally released disc and calling it a "two disc special edition"?

I will agree that labeling it a 2-disc special edition is very misleading.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I dig the soundtrack. But I think it's easy enough for people to purchase the soundtrack CD separately from the DVD, not to mention it's more convenient if they're packaged separately because usually people keep their CDs and DVDs separate, and not all mixed together.

I agree, if you like Jon Brion (the genius behind soundtracks like "Magnolia", "Punch Drunk Love", etc.) you'll LOVE this soundtrack.

Grr...I liked this flick, and would have waited to pick this version up for the soundtrack, but I guess I could always find it on sale somewhere, maybe used? Anyways, whatever I can do to boycott the double dip.

Phew! Focus Features lets us down again! Just license out your movies to Criterion and be done with it.

The set will include the standard retail release of the film, along with a bonus disc (not the soundtrack as originally reported) and a Commemorative Photo Book. Extras will include a Inside the Mind of Michel Gondry feature, Anatomy Of A Scene: Saratoga Avenue, A Conversation With Kate Winslet and Michel Gondry and some additional deleted scenes.

I'll only get it if the following deleted scene is included:

Spoiler:
apparantly there's a scene that takes place far in the future and it is revealed that Clementine and Carey's character have both gone through many many mind-wipes over the years. This ended the movie in a much sadder note, but really hit home the concept of doomed to repeat what you forget.
