toy story rerelease?

I tried doing a search for this, but was unable to find anything. Has anyone heard if they are going to do a rerelease of the toy story movies anytime soon?

In like 9 years.

I can see the amount of bitching by those who own the ultimate toybox if this were to happen.

I own the Toy Box, still sealed. I'm pondering when to throw it on ebay...

I would suggest during the mad rush that Incredibles creates for pixar products when it's released this year. That is the best time. Tag your auction with that and you'll get more views. Simple as that.

Why? Was UTB billed as something to buy now or lose your chance forever? I own it and love it, and if it were re-released so that other people could own it, too, I'd be happy for them.

No need to go to all that trouble, guy...I'll take it off your hands for you. It's the very least I can do to help out a fellow Talker. Now, what kind of special discount do I get? ;)

Likewise here. I bought the UTB to enjoy the films and extras, not to watch it become some ultra-rare collectible. I don't care what it's "worth", and I wish that Disney would make these available to everybody again. Their policy of putting their most popular films on moratorium for years at a time sucks.

I don't see any better editions of this coming out, as the UTB was one of the best DVD releases ever.

If they put out a bare-bones version, or re-released the UTB, that wouldn't affect the people who already own it either.

The only ones who would bitch would be the people who have extra copies that they haven't scalped yet.

u guys must be kiddin'!! OFCOURSE they will rerelease TOY STORY for 2 reasons:

1-next year is the 10th anniversery for Toy Story 1.

2-They are workin' on Toy Story 3 &4 for 2006-2007 release,so i expect a new version on DVD when the movie comes out.

In 9 years, dvds will be long replaced already with other formats. I don't understand Disney's mentality ....don't they want to make $$$ on these "moratarium" titles?

The longer they keep these movies in their "vaults", the more anxious people will be for their release, AND by then Disney will be able to sell to a whole new crop of viewers, like the children of the people anxiously waiting. Bottom line, moratorium now = moramoney later on.

I love my UTB, have seen it so many times. Would never sell it since im a movie fan not a rare dvd collector.
