I think it is a good price. Averages out to about $6 a piece with a bonus disc of extras. If you are a fan I would say yes. I got it the day it came out at Best Buy with the bonus disc and I love it. I never bought any of the regular dvds because they were too damn expensive when they came out. I don't think the price will drop much in the near future. As far as a new and improved box set coming out, well that has a snowball's cahce in hell of happening I think. I mean they could have done alot more with this set but I am happy. I will be even happier when I order the region 2 Friday the 13th uncut.

I was looking at the sales papers this weekend & Coconuts has the Nightmare on Elm Street boxset for an unbelievable $30 (after rebate) so I just didn't know if any other price drops might be coming for the Friday set. |
Personally I refrained from buying this set, mostly because I'm pissed about the first film still being cut, as well as several of the other ones.

$50?
I saw it yesterday at Target for $39. Almost picked it up. |

It should be priced the same as the Elm Street set, which is now around $35-$40. I mean, the movies are on double sided discs and they're not the uncut versions. Not worth $50+ imo.

Damn, maybe I should go back and pick that bad boy up. I only saw that one and one corner looked a tad worn. |
