Is this a bootleg?
I just got one of these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWN:IT and it just looks so cheap (kind of blurry cover art that looks like a color copy, very cheap printing on the disc label, etc.) that I suspect it to be a bootleg. Does anyone know for sure? |
I've had two different versions of that movie, and both were the way you described. I'm reasonably sure they aren't bootlegs, but I tend to think they're skirting by on the same sort of technicality that allows various companies to release shitty versions of 'Night of the Living Dead'. The picture quality is pretty bad.
I believe there is a slightly more official release, though, which is a little better. Did you get the one with the title upside down on the spine? That was annoying. |

Probably not a bootleg ... after all, is this title even worth a bootlegger's efforts? It's not what you'd call a high demand item.

Not a boot, I've seen it in a dump bin at Meijer's or the like... Just a shitty, legit, DVD as far as I know.

yeah looks like one of those $1 specials at Wal-mart
|
Well, I haven't watched it yet but you all convinced me that it is likely legit, if not a little shady. I didn't think the movie was in such a demand that it would warrant a bootleg but you never know. I only got it because it was on my list of movies I never got around to seeing so I figure for the price of a rental, I may as well buy it. Thanks everyone for the responses.

Thats the OOP Digital Multimedia disc. The Roger Corman Collection disc is better.
