LAS VEGAS S1 (Uncut and Uncensored) on 1/04/05

Straight from the horses mouth: www.tvshowsondvd.com:

Universal Studios Home Video has announced this morning that January 4th will see the release of Las Vegas - Season 1: Uncut & Uncensored. No real details are available yet, other than the configuration of a 3-disc set in Anamorphic Widescreen format that sells for $59.98 SRP. We wish we had more to tell you about the James Caan series, but Universal's announcement was very sparse. Stay tuned and we'll tell you more just as soon as we get it.

*Update*
We've just received some new information on the set. We can expect an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the release, though there may be more as well. We're told that the special features will probably change, but here where we sit right now:
Sin City: A Hundred Years of Good Luck
Inside the Montecito
Rumble in Montecito (Featurette including Jon Bon Jovi, John Elway and the cast of Las Vegas)
Remember: the special features will probably change.
As expected, I have been looking forward to this one since I saw the pilot air last year.

Very interesting (and going along with the recent "unrated" trend in film DVDs) that this will be a supposedly "Uncut and Uncensored" version of the show.

With an MSRP of $59 and change, my guess would be a steet price around $40.

I love this show but a $59.99 msrp for a 3-disc set seems very steep

It'll probably be dual-sided so it'll sort of be like having a 6-disc set.

Price-wise, that isn't so bad.

Double-sided discs... 23 episodes total ...seems fairly cheap as far as price is concerned.

That's what I thought (not that it matters to me anyway. I would pay X Files MSRP prices for this set).

Honestly, I was expecting prices in the CSI and Homicide range (given that they are higher disc counts, but same number of episodes), regardless of DVD physical quantity.

Personally, I would have preferred a higher price, and 6 one sided discs (royally dislike two sided discs), but I will take what I can get.

Sweet... This is one of the few shows that I watch regularly (no cable). Can't wait to watch the few episodes that I missed early in the season.

Cool - I love the show but don't see spending on the DVD's for a new tv show to see it again this soon.

Does anyone know what will be different in the uncut version. I can just think of the Molly Sims reflection from the window that was in the pilot, but wasn't aired on tv, and maybe a more unrated wet t shirt contest from one of the latter eps of the season.

Hopefully they will show more of the Molly Simms part from the pilot episode!

I also would pay to see Sam and Nikki Cox!
