Did your THX-1138 DVD include a bonus metal ear tag, like the one on the cover?
 

I haven't heard anybody mention this, but my copy of THX-1138 had a metal ear tag that printed with "THX-1138". Did anyone else receive one of these? And what is it for?

yes i did, and it's to put on your ear if you so feel inclined.

I received one through Amazon.

Haven't seen it attached at Costco or my local Best Buy.

mine also came from Amazon. I didn't know it wasn't in all sets......that's interesting.

The little message saying it was included was not on the page when I ordered, but when I went back and was contemplating if I wanted to cancel the order or not it was there indicating it was a special free bonus from amazon. Just another trinket to set on my DVD shelves.

The 2 disc "LE" packaging looks rather typcial, in that there is a cellophane wrapper around the set; however, the small ear tag is placed in its own small plastic bag, which lies right on the front of the box, directly underneath the cellophane wrapping.

In other words, it's pretty easy to find out if the packaging included it or not. ;)

I concur. Picked mine up from fry's. No metal ear tag.

I got mine from Amazon with an ear tag too. I wondered if it was just an Amazon thing. I hadn't heard anyone else mention it.

Works with a magnet. Little round magnet goes on the back of your ear lobe.

You guys should eBay it. I'm sure there are a lot of die-hard fans who want their hands on this.
