Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

I just watched Ebert & Roper, and at the end of Ebert's tribute to Russ Meyer, Roper asked Ebert when will BtVotD be available on DVD. Ebert replied that he has recorded a commentary track, and he believes Criterion will be releasing it next year.

Yeah!

INHD is showing a new HD transfer of this, probably the same used for the DVD.

I can think of a great spine number for Criterion to give this one. (Sadly, it's been taken by Cocteau...)

I have the bare bones Australian disc. Will definitely purchase this one when released.

I think you confuse it with Valley of the Dolls which is showing on INHD.

Not many movie channels will be able to show BVD because of its NC-17 rating.
I only saw it aired on the Fox Movie Channel (Widescreen) and Cinemax (P&S) a while back.

I just noticed that Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Valley of the Dolls are both listed up for pre-order at Amazon. They have the release date for both as June 13th. Anyone have any further info?

Last I checked, Fox was going to release both films, so it is a possibility that that release date is correct.

No....You're wrong. It's Beyond Valley Of The Dolls. I've seen it atleast twice on INHD late night.

While I'm not fond of stupid special edition names, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls: Double D(isc) Edition would fit. If it as getting a two disc edition, that is.
