Clerks X: 10th Ann. - Not Even Supposed to be Here Today?
 

It had the original release date of Sept. 7th - this got bumped
Than it went to Sept. 21st - this got bumped
Than it went to Oct. 5th - this will get bumped?

- Is it out in the US? Is this a Canada thing? Is it a rights issue?

This was supposed to be a great gift for my woman on her Anniversary. She got other items from me, but this was going to be the great gift. And I still think she has not heard about it. Now I have been waiting for weeks. Still not here and any day I think she will walk up and say "Clerks is coming out again on DVD!" and I will curl into a metaphorical fetal ball.

And I searched and found nothin'. ;)

Yes, it came out in the US on the 7th, but I was just waiting to pick it up over here at Futureshop on the 21st because they were supposed to have it for a pretty good price. If Alliance is just going to keep farting around for no good reason, I might just pick it up in the US.

This is purely conjecture on my part, but maybe there was a delay in the printing of the "special" bilingual packaging that Alliance is most likely giving us for this release. I really can't wait to get this because by all reports I've read so far, it's an amazing set.

I began my hunt for it on the 7th as adds for Blockbuster and Rogers Video were displaying it for that date. No dice. HMV even had self inserts made for it that said "PURCHASE ON THE 7th). The clerks had no clue and the system listed NO DATE. I called Best Buy. No luck. Last week we got word at our store that it was coming on the 5th of October now, which seems to match up to HMV.

I am guessing cultshock is right with the delay being an additon of French on the cover. Let's hope we Canucks have this in our grubby little paws by the first snowfall. :p

I'm in the same boat of having already gone out searching on the 7th and again this past tuesday... october 5...that is complete crap. I'm sure it's got something to do with adding French packaging and probably some sort of french track or something... I want my Clerks dammit!

Thats wierd, I saw this in a Futureshop in Vancouver a few weeks ago. It wasnt there last week though. I'll check again today.

Maybe it was pulled for some reason.

Got it this week. The packaging is actually decent. The spine is intact, and there's only the smallest of text on the cover with the title in french. Maybe Alliance Atlantis is learning.
