I Robot?

I noticed this is for pre-sale at Amazon.co.uk. It is the R2 & it is a 2 disc. I have not seen anything for the R1 version. Have I missed something? http://deephousepage.com/smilies/conf40.gif

Mike Lowrey 09-15-04 08:10 PM

It's not listed yet, but it's expected for a Dec. 14th release.

Jackskeleton 09-15-04 08:19 PM

AWWWW HELL NAH!

I wonder if fox is going to give R2 a two disc and R1 a one disc dvd like it seems like they are with DAY AFTER TOMORROW.

spongebobkay 09-15-04 08:26 PM

Here's the R2 info I saw http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...213116-2691050

marty888 09-15-04 09:37 PM

There doesn't seem to be any specs on the special features yet, but I hope this won't be another instance of R2 getting a better edition.

Dalvin 09-15-04 11:02 PM

Loved this movie, hope it is a 2-Disc set, I'll defintely be dissapointed if it isn't. I'll definetly be picking this up though when it hits shelves

Kumar J 09-15-04 11:36 PM

Japan is just playing it this 18th!So it will be a long time before this becomes DVD here!

steebo777 09-17-04 08:28 AM

Over at DVDAnswers they confirm the date is December 14th.

spongebobkay 09-17-04 09:55 AM

Sounds like the R1 will be a single disc. I'll be going with the R2.

I know this probably doesn't mean much, but in the talk-backs on DVDA, one of the guys says his uncle works at Fox and swears it's a 2 discer. Why the hell wouldn't they release the 2 discer (and why didn't they for The Day After Tomorrow?

spongebobkay 09-17-04 11:00 AM

Sounds like they are looking for us to Double-Dip! "I Robot", depends on the actual release, but "the Day After Tomorrow" someone is definetly looking for us to Pay Twice at the Pump! http://deephousepage.com/smilies/tantrum.gif

cajun_junky 09-17-04 02:48 PM

If the initial US releasee is a single then I will wait. I have enough to watch in the mean time.

Slowpc 09-17-04 05:57 PM

Yea, i hope there is a 2-disc at least and DTS.

DTS is listed ... hoping for a 2 disc now...

Abob Teff 09-18-04 12:14 AM

Definitely needs a 2-discer! Of course there would be the standard Proyas (and whoever else) commentary (a Will Smith commentary would be neat) and fluff pieces . . . but a retrospect piece on Asimov and his stories would be nice.

Big Worms 09-23-04 09:19 PM

From thedigitalbits

As far as specs and extras, I, Robot will include anamorphic widescreen video, both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 audio, commentary by director Alex Proyas and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, The Making of I, Robot featurette, a still gallery and previews for other upcoming Fox titles.

Dane 09-24-04 03:45 AM

R2 & R3 will be a 2-disc release with DTS. Region 1 will be a single disc without dts.

Jackskeleton 09-24-04 05:09 AM

Simple as this. Don't be surprised if a SE comes out a months later. Fox is doing this more and more now.

steebo777 09-24-04 06:52 AM

Bastards.

KayUK 09-24-04 07:48 AM

The 2 disc NTSC region 3 is available at cd-wow.fm for about $15.81. Search for i, robot which is released on 26th Oct.

Worth doing if you have a multi-region player.
