Really? It must have just happened recently. I've been holding off on these because they aren't anamorphic, but now I'm not sure. Should I get these while I still can, or wait and hope for a better release. Hmmm. Cool films, BTW. Udo Kier is great.

Well that is strange that they went out of print. But what is even stranger is how hard they were to order. DVD Planet has cancelled both titles and Criteriondvd.com isn't allowing you to purchase it. I ended up buying both at DDD. Normally I don't hop on the going OOP bandwagon but the fact that they disappeared from e-tailers so quickly made me want to snatch these up.

Criterion has let us know recently when things have gone OOP. It's strange how quickly these have vanished....

I want them, but I think I will hold off for a while. I have been burned before, buying just cause something went or was going OOP. Maybe its just that the rights transfered or something. Possible new releases will keep me at bay.

Wow... sure didn't expect these to go OOP. I picked up both at SecondSpin for $18 each back in January.

It's funny with these two because every time I'd go to Fry's I'd see them in the horror section and not in the Criterion section. I always felt the urge to move 'em but thought maybe they should stay....

Yeah, I would have picked these up a long time ago if they were anamorphic... But since they're not, no interest. I'd wager that there's a re-release or releases from another company lined up at some point, with 16X9 transfers. I'll wait.

I picked these up for $10 each at a local video store that went out of business in 1999. About time they got collectible.

Um, haven't they been out-of-print for a while?

I remember reading that quite some time ago. Considering the films in question, I doubted there was much fanfare to be had...

Something tells me that DDD is going to send me an "out of stock" e-mail some time in the next 24 hours.

Ugh.

We'll see how real-time their online inventory actually is.

Cross your fingers.

***EDIT***

I just did a search at DDD for both titles and neither appear on the website. Is this good news or bad news for those of us who got an order in tonight?

Well my order status at DDD is really weird. Its blank and it just says 1 $28.76 for both. But I checked my bank account and I have a pending charge on there for them so I guess that's a good sign.

Well even though I placed an order with DDD last night, there's no OPEN orders showing in my account and I have yet to get a Temp charge on my CC. Oh well, I got FFF for a few penny's more shipped form Overstock.com. Would have been cheaper (using %10 off), but Overstock now charges taxes for Indiana (SUCKS ASS).

Its funny how everyone is hating people trying to make a buck on a film, people hate it when no one really pays any attention to a film until its unobtainable or its notoriously hard to find.... But when you step back and watch how everyone is... Its seems that everyone wants to make a buck, and cash in on the craze.

Good god I love america! lol

Who says people are doing this to make a buck. There are plenty of films I want, but aren't at the top of my list. If I found out what of these films was going out of print, I would try to get it ASAP, because in a few months, I would be paying out the nose.

Yea... I'm only getting it because I'm 12 Criterion's shy of having the whole collection and Flesh For Frankenstein just happens to be one of them...

I'm not talking about everyone.. I'm refering to those people that bought 30 copies of Ed Wood, trying to make a buck on them. Only to find out that the freakin movie is coming back out in the exact same suppliments and they were forced to dump or return all of their copies. When people 2 months prior just loved the movie and wanted to just have the film.

I myself am trying to complete a set of CC films. I am sitting at 138 CC's... Now I've obtained about 70 films within the last 2 months.

I purchased both of these films because I'm in love with horror movies. I took a blind purchase on these pictures prior to wanting to complete the collection and found both are hillariously entertaining.

I cant seem to find Salo and Killer Authentic for nothing though... I dont wanna buy them when i can just trade a butt load of other films and maybe some cash for them. AHEM! lol

no offense to anyone... but you know what I'm talking about, just the simple frustration that i'm talking about in the first paragraph.
