Info Need on Dead End Kids/East Side Kids/Bowery Boys- HELP me!

I don't know much about the old movie series of "The Dead End Kids" but my father loves them. We are getting him a DVD player for Christmas and I thought getting the Dead End Kids on DVD would be great.
Last week I was getting my car fixed and they had a booklet, one that came in the mail, of tons of DVD of old shows/movies. They had a box set, it was all the Dead End Kid movies for like $80. I can't find this set on Amazon or DVD Empire. Maybe I am over looking it?
Also when searching for The Dead End Kids I am also getting something called "The East Side Kids" I am also getting info on "The Bowery Boys". Are they all the same? Or just one some of the same actors?
My local Best Buy didn't have any of these. Are they hard to find? Also anyone know how many movies they all did? Or what a good set is to get a fan?
Anyone have any info at all please let me post it.

Basically they are the same core players and you can add Little Tough Guys to your list. You can find detailed info here : http://users.arczip.com/fwdixon/BoweryBoys/ I have seen a number of 2Packs at Best Buy and some solos from the Roan Group.

I see they have 5 of those double pack at DD for $5.99 each shipped. They also have Clancy Street Boys one of their funnier ones available for $5.99. There are others available at Amazon.

There's a 15 movie East Side Kids marathon on TCM tonight.

Alpha Video has quite a few of these titles available. Goodtimes also has some.

Best Buy will most likely have these titles in the "Special Interest" section, or the "$7.99 and under" section

The Dead End Kids started out in a movie called - guess what? - DEAD END which starred Humphrey Bogart and Sylvia Sydney. The "kids" spun off, but I guess at some point whoever had that franchise stopped producing the movies, and the principals became "The Bowery Boys".
