Yep, BEST BUY in Hayward, CA had about 15 copies as did Circuit City down the road... got mine.
One thing that I found funny was that someone put STAR TREK GENERATIONS NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD after each Deleted Scene... duh, what am I watching it on?

experienced the same problem at my local CC this morning. the CSR called it into hq, and i was worried that they'd catch the recall. luckily, they came back saying that it was a typo in the system preventing the sale. the CSR manually overrode the system, and i walked out with my copy.

CC by me had three copies. I picked one up and the check out register wouldn't ring it up cause it had a release date of 09-07-05. The clerk overrode it though and I got it for $12.99.

Nope, no trailers whatsoever... still seems silly to recall it for that. At least pay the money and get the trailers if your going to make ppl wait for it.

So I went across the street and PM'd at BBy. They had two out on the "New Releases Table" and about a dozen in the SF section.

I found two copies at Border's near me today, the only people in town to have actually put them out anyway. Everyone else had pulled them. I went ahead and got it because I have no hope whatsoever that they will actually put the trailers on the disk. It's much cheaper to reprint new inserts than it is to press their entire inventory of discs, so I'm sure they'll just print new inserts that don't say the disc has trailers on them.

I went to two Circuit City's, two Best Buys, two FYE's, four Wal-Marts, two Targets, two Sam's and two K-Marts and found NOTHING! I did see that two of the Wal-Marts had sold out of them
The one Borders I went to said the movie was in store, so I asked someone and he told me they were on hold for some reason, he then said they're probably in the back and he would go get me one, he went back there and came back up front and told me there too many boxes to go through and try back tomorrow, I'm not expecting anything, but plan on trying again tomorrow night.

I went to K-Mart and they alot of copies but the problem was all of them had deep box cutter marks on their spines, every one. don't people know how to open a box without wrecking what's inside. it's always the movie that i want the most that's damaged.

Man, that really sucks!
Just got through watching the DVD and the extras are everything we've come to expect from these outstanding Star Trek SEs.
The transfer is great, and the sound was awesome. I'm glad I decided not to hold off on this one!

Finally found it at Wal-Mart here in Phx, and they even pricematched to CC's 12.99 ad!
In my searching, a Best Buy employee said they pulled them and actually knew about the recall. CompUSA, Circuit City and Target employees said they never even saw them come into the store.

Paramount is 99.9999% likely just going to change the packaging of the disc. It's not worth their time or money to re-author the disc for two trailers, that they do not have the music rights secured for.
This whole mess inevitably comes down to some dupe of a customer, and thier money grubbing lawyer, seeing visions of some type of lawsuit involving false advertising.

K-Mart was the magic spot for me. They had about a half dozen copies. I brought it home and played it, and the disc skipped and wouldn't work. I got ticked, thinking it must have been a defect that caused the recall rather than the trailers, but when I took out the disc and turned it over, it was completely covered in greasy fingerprints. I've heard people on here talk about pulling items mint out of a case and finding fingerprints all over them, but this is the first time I've seen it. I gave it a careful cleaning and now it works fine.
