DVD cracks from cases?
 

Hi. I was going through some DVDs that where in those double DVD cases where the first disc tray is attached to the spine of the holder. Afew of them had small cracked in the center of the disc. My Last Samurai even had a large chunk of the plastic punched out.. Has anyone noticed problems with the first disc tray?

You have to be careful when removing/re-inserting the discs onto the hub on the "flap" because when it presses down on the bottom disc, it can apparently crack the DVD.

I don't think I've damaged any of my DVDs in these cases, as I always remove them with great care, but I've heard reports of it happening.

When removing the discs, it's probably best to life the flap up and support the back of it with your free hand, and push the hub with your other finger.

I've lost two DVDs because of the hub Amaray uses on its double dvd cases.

The newer ones with the arrow hubs are the best out there in my opinion.
