I read on the Digital Bits web page last night that the Hitchcock Signature collection has been postponed. Anyone else hear anything about that?

I'm going to be broke when DDD has their Christmas sale and I pick up everything I've been adding to my Wish List there for the next 3 or 4 months. =)

I swear, September's A BIG FREAKIN' month for me, especially since I'm leaving for college.

On the 7th:
Eddie Murphy Raw
The Ladykillers
Latter Days (Unrated)
The Punisher:
SNL: Christopher Walken

14th:
Man on Fire (maybe)
(also, I want to get Baadasssss!, but I doubt they'll carry it in Savannah)

21st:
Mean Girls
Star Wars Trilogy

28th:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Super Size Me

Clerks and DotD, I'll get for Christmas. Jersey Girl and Coffee and Cigarettes are doubtfuls.

You wanna talk about costly days? Try 11/9 (Before Sunset, The Clearing, Stepford, Zatoichi, AND A Day Without a Mexican)

Probably the most I have bought in one shot before:

Doctor Who: Earthshock
Doctor Who: Pyramids of Mars
Star Trek: Generations
Keen Eddie: Complete Series

Holy crap.

Rounders CE
Keen Eddie Complete Series
Star Trek Generations
SNL Will Farrel Vol 2
SNL Christopher Walken
SNL Tracy Morgan

Son of a bitch. Good thing I picked up every Madden Coupon book at Best Buy the other day. 20% off all those will come in handy.

Ugh, I had no idea Sept. 7th was going to be such a nightmare. All the weeks where there have been very few releases all summer, and then the dam breaks. Want/Going to get eventually:

The Alfred Hitchcock Signature Collection (10-disc set)
Alias: Season Three (6-disc set)
Angel: Season Four (6-disc set)
Clerks: 10th Anniversary Edition (3-disc set)
Dawn of the Dead: Collector's Edition (4-disc set) (1979)
Jersey Girl (2004)
Keen Eddie: The Complete Series (4-disc set)
Law & Order Special Victims Unit: Season Five (4-disc set)
Night of the Living Dead (Fox edition) (1968)
The Punisher (2004) (Depends on price... $15 or under and I'll pick it up)
Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Star Trek: Generations: Special Edition (2-disc set) (1994)
The Twilight Zone Television Series (6-disc set)
Without a Trace: Season One (4-disc set)

Of course there's no way in Hell I'll be buying that entire list on one day. I'll pick up Generations, Clerks, Dawn of the Dead and Keen Eddie definitely. Since RE is going to be promoting the sequel, there could be some great deals on it the first week. Bottom line: I'll buy the ones that have killer deals the first week and pick the rest up in a couple years after they've been discounted and DDD has 20% off.

Re: Who else is going to be broke on September 7th?

On my list for that day and picked up whenever I can afford them.

September 7th, 2004

Alias: Season Three (6-disc set)
Angel: Season Four (6-disc set)
Clerks: 10th Anniversary Edition (3-disc set)
The Iron Giant: Special Edition (1999)
Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Star Trek: Generations: Special Edition (2-disc set) (1994)
Will & Grace: Season Three (4-disc set)
I'm really behind on some things though.

I still need Angel Season 3, Buffy Seasons 5, 6. I think 7 comes out later this year as well.
I need Simpsons Season 4 still and a lot of others.

Then there are big movie sets I need still like Indy. Star Wars comes out soon.
I passed on the Alien Quadrology and just picked up Alien and Aliens free from Columbia House.
Didn't care for 3 or 4 much. Though I might pick up the 9th disc if I can find it on Ebay cheap.

I want ST: Generations, Twilight Zone, Dawn of the Dead and the Alfred box set but I'll just wait for the 20% off sale or some other sale.

I'm just glad to see Jersey Girl on many of their list, I loved that movie as much as any other Kevin movie. It's feel good to see some suport around here, unlike the love that got from the critics.

Star Wars we're almost there, midnight sale here we come.

Im definitely getting Dawn of the Dead and Stark Trek: generations. I will wait for reviews on Fox's Night of the Living Dead, Maximum Overdrive, and Resident Evil to see if they are worth upgrading. I would normally also buy Basket Case 3 but my OCD prevents me from getting movies out of order LOL wheres # 2?????
