Just Dawn Of The Dead, Strangers On A Train, and Generations for me. Will probably get around to picking up several others later on (Rounders, The Punisher, Ladykillers, and The Iron Giant).

There are also Tracy Morgan and Chris Kattan discs coming out the same day.

The rest of September isn't too bad for me, fortunately, and neither is October, which works out well because November is gonna be very expensive.

I'll encourage people to look into Never Cry Wolf which is a terrific and underrated film that finally gets a decent anamorphic release (I think anyway).

A lot of great DVD's on that list. I'm definitely going to buy the Hitchcock coll. and the Lean coll. When? I don't know.

Yes, Sept. 7th is bad for me, but you haven't even mentioned two of the reasons:

Doctor Who - Pyramids of Mars

Doctor Who - Earthshock

Sep 7 is my birthday! I want:

Alias: Season Three (6-disc set)
Clerks: 10th Anniversary Edition (3-disc set)
Dawn of the Dead: Collector's Edition (4-disc set) (1979)
The Iron Giant: Special Edition (1999)
Jersey Girl (2004)
The Ladykillers (widescreen) (2004)
Maximum Overdrive (1987)
Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Rounders: Collector's Edition (1998)

And of course Columbia House doesn't carry a single one of them! (Well, except Iron Giant).

It's funny, but I always thought September 7 was gonna be a really expensive DVD day. Taking a look at that list though, I realize it won't be so bad.

The only DVDs I'm definitely getting are Clerks X and Rounders SE. And since those are double-dips, I'll be making at least some cash back by selling the older versions on eBay.

I'll probably pick up the Hitchcock set, but I'm waiting to read some reviews first. Considering it's WB though, I think the transfers and supplements will be great. Plus, I'll be able to sell my current DVDs of Strangers On a Train and North By Northwest to offset the cost of the collection.

I already own Angel Season 4(R2), so no worries there. And Alias Season 3 was a piece of sh-t, so I'll pass on that one.

September 7th, 2004

I'm interested in these. Hope I can afford them all.

The Alfred Hitchcock Signature Collection (10-disc set)
Clerks: 10th Anniversary Edition (3-disc set)
The Iron Giant: Special Edition (1999)
The Martian Chronicles (2-disc set) (1980)
Mr. Vampire (Geung si sin sang) (1985)
Sexo, Pudor y Lagrimas (Sex, Shame and Tears) (1999)
Sssssss (1973)

Ssssss is on of my all time favorite cheesy movies and the Martian Chronicles is some really good Ray Bradbury Sci-Fi.

I certainly won't be broke. I'll do what I always do. Pick up what I can (that's within my budget) and leave the rest for a later date. No point going in the hole over movies. If I didn't buy another disc till 2005 I still probably wouldn't get through the backlog I currently have. So I can certainly wait.

I only plan on getting Alias Season 3, and the Dawn of the Dead 4 disc, so yea it will be a pretty expensive day. On top of that I think I am ordering Shaun of the Dead that week.
