another 70's 80's flick I'd like to see on DVD. All I remember is that it was about the beef industry and was a very sharp political satire. I thought it was "prime choice" or something like that....anyone recollect?

Do you mean "Prime Cut", with Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman?

You're all wrong, it was Prime Cut with Sissy Spacek as Poppy.

"Prime Cut" it is! Thanks! A shame it doesn't appear to be out on DVD. I have only the vaguest memory of seeing it and getting a real kick out of it as a dark, very witty satire.

IMDB says it's with Marvin, Hackman, Tompkins and Spacek so you are all correct.

Now is this THE Prime Cut, starring Gladys Watson as Milk Lady? Because I'd watch it all over again for her stuning performance.

Don't kid yourself, the best performance was by Wayne Savagne as Freckle Face. Nobody messes with Freckle Face!

OK, wiseguys, I'm a little slow but I see where this is going

I was thinking of that movie where Judy Williams (who is uncredited) plays one of the orphans sold at auction. That little girl steals the whole movie!

But PRIME CUT was a more of a gangster action flick. Since you mention it's a satire on the meat business, perhaps you are thinking of some obscure Robert Downey Sr film?
