There are two versions, widescreen and fullscreen, with completely identical fronts. You'll only know by looking on the back if it's the one you want. I almost picked up the wrong one, so I thought I'd try to play the nice guy.

At least I noticed it in the parking lot.

I totally lucked out - I didn't even pay attention when I grabbed my copy, and I got:
- wide-screen version
- free ticket included
- no problems with packaging

This is the response from Target for those who can't find their ticket:
They contacted Fox Home Video regarding this. Fox has said that the movie cash is folded up and there are several brochures as well, so the ticket might not be recognizable. Be sure to look carefully to make sure it is not tucked in one of the included brochures. Fox has double checked all their remaining inventory and they all have the coupon inside.
If you still cannot find the coupon, you can call a toll free number at Fox: 1-888-223-2369. Fox will mail you a ticket.
If you don't want to call Fox, Target will take returns on this DVD.

TARGET....no ticket! Sticker was on the outside. I'll try a return tomorrow we'll see. A Fox employee is probably selling the missing tickets out of the trunk of his car somewhere.
The waste of my time is what's annoying because I was going to sell the ticket to a co-worker...

I bought mine at Walmart and got the ticket, but I was stupid and accidentally picked up the foolscreen version. Took it back and got the widescreen. Now I have two tickets.

You didn't return the ticket with the full screen version?
So you stole part of the product when you returned it? Is that what you're bragging about?

LOL I RIPPED OFF THE STORE BY NOT RETURNING A FULL PRODUCT AND GETTING A NEW ONE LOL LOL LOL
Jokes on you, you'll either have to watch the movie twice or drag someone to it that will hate your guts for it.

I watched this last night and was disappointed with the video quality. It was mostly ok, but you could see some heavy grainyness on the close-ups. I expect better from a new release. Afterwards I watched my American History X DVD that appears to have been pressed in 2001 and was blown away at how good the transfer was compared to Predator. The DTS track on Predator is a little strange too. It seems a bit uneven, where the explosions are totally loud but some of the dialogue is difficult to hear. It isn't bad overall, though. I'll try out the DD5.1 next time.

Thanks mike01 for resurrecting this.
I didn't even come across this thread back in August when it was created.
Just finished reading through it now and found a lot of funny stuff along the way:
What a great thread.
I didn't even come across this thread back in August when it was created.
Just finished reading through it now and found a lot of funny stuff along the way:
- People buying the wrong version (FS vs. WS) because the front packaging is the same.
- Plastic DVD tray falling apart from the case.
- "The movie ticket is inside!"
"No, it's not!"
"You don't need it anyway because the movie sucks!" - Fox employees taking it personal.
- Quotes from Arnold's character in the film strategically posted every once in a while...and one that wasn't even in this movie!
What a great thread.

I forgot about this whole debacle with the WS/FS stuff, and found a copy used the other day at EB. I went ahead and picked it up as part of their B2G1Free deals, and just popped it in. It's the f'n FS version!

Mine was flawless.
I had heard of separate WS/Foolscreen versions so I double checked and shook so I knew the packaging wasn't loose, I got it on the first morning it came out:
Widescreen: Check
Solid packaging(until I dropped it): Check
Ticket: Check*
*Anyone use their ticket that saw AvP like it?
I thought it was decent enough, although my friend I went with seemed to hate it. It wasn't a fullscreen theater..I gues it was PG-13?

I got this today for a nice $10 at Target. I was quite surprised to see it mixed with the other 10 dollar garbage. I thank you for this thread, even though I picked up a WS version without looking first. Looking forward to watching it tonight, especially since I've never seen it letterboxed.

Did anyone ever get any information or confirmation that the number on the spine was incorrect? Based on previous information, Predator should have been number 16, not 15.
