Any word on an extended version of the 3rd ring movie?

It's coming out in December. There's a thread or two about it here if you want more info. The search function should dig them up.

When a release date is announced, it won't be a secret. You'll see big announcements on the front page.

Nope. No extended version for the third installment. Peter Jackson has basically said, "F you" to all the fans and is not making a EE of ROTK.

Besides, he's got better things to do like making a movie about some big monkey.
