"DUEL" Release Question

Anybody know why the Aug 17th release is not being made available at canadian retailers like amazon.ca only offered through amazon.com etc

I thaught all R1 releases were suppose to be for Canada & the States

Anybody from Universal out there can explain if this is true hen this really sucks

Not quite true. In most instances, the US/Canadian rights are held by the same company, so it is the same DVD that is released in both countries, although sometimes the Canadian release has dual-language packaging.

However, there are several titles where the release is completely different in the U.S. and in Canada, even though both are R! countries.

at dvdsoon.

Futureshop has it listed at 16.99, but it is described as discontinued. Maybe this will change to available when it finally released.
