MGM no longer offering replacement discs?
A few weeks go I purchased the Dead Like Me Season 1 box. Finally last night I got around to opening it. I checked the discs and disc 1 looks like it was rubbed against sandpaper. I don't have the receipt anymore so I contacted MGM customer service and this is the reply I got...

Please note that we at MGM pride ourselves on providing the consumer with the highest level of quality in order for you to enjoy the DVD experience. However, after careful consideration we regret to inform you that MGM must decline your request. We have reviewed your case and the situation described does not fall under our replacement policy. Thank you for your understanding. MGM looks forward to providing you with top notch entertainment in the future. Sincerely, Kevin Matheis MGM Home Entertainment Customer Service Dept. Shady... Where'd you get it at? Most likely they'd let you switch for the same thing unless they are super anal, but you never know. Usually MGM is pretty good, you should reply back and say you won't buy a damn bit of their top notch entertainment. :)

I bought it at Circuit City. I'm going to try and exchange it tomorrow.
Didn't MGM screwup the Robocop box set also? I read a lot about scratched discs. |
They'd better cause I'm gonna bring on the hurt to that company if I don't get a replacement GBU disc.

Sounds like a case for the people's court.

just a bitter taste of things to come...when you come across a defective(rot) disc in a year or two. will this be under the replacement policy guidelines?
it'll get tougher, fellow consumers. |
