Well, what do ya know. I was able to cancel my order for Flash Gordon from the UK. One of the items in my order is holding up shipment until April. (Just checked again, it's "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors" that's out of stock.)

I'm more curious about these two Hitchcock Legacy Series releases. Are these going to be much better than the discs already available (I own a couple of Legacy Series titles but haven't opened them yet to view their contents) and are they releasing more of Hitch's titles in that series?

I am feeling blessed after reading how much you guys have sold your old Flash Gordon's for. I had pretty much given up on getting this because I was not going to pay those eBay prices. Then, a couple of months ago, I walked in to my local used CD/DVD store and there was Flash in the used items. The package and disc looked like brand new. I snatched that baby up for $7.95 and felt I had hit the jackpot.

Here's a bit of great news: At long last, Universal has finally announced a title we first revealed in The Rumor Mill a couple months back - the Flash Gordon: Saviour of the Universe Edition! The single-disc DVD release will street on 8/7 (SRP $26.98). I'll admit, I was actually hoping for an HD-DVD version as well, but one isn't currently planned. In any case, the film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. There will be at least some special features and the title will come in "premium" packaging. No other details are yet available, but we'll tell you more as its revealed by the studio.
Premium packaging tho. Steelbook?

It amazes me that the old Image snapper can still command those prices. Unless you're watching it on a 27" tube set, it looks like absolute poop. Hell, for $100, you're within striking distance of a decent region-free player and the R2 special edition.

But what's up with the British spelling of "saviour"??
