So...is the special edition of Heat not coming out this year?

We've been getting Warner's releases all the way through October and there's still no signs of Heat being re-released. What happened?

I remember an article I read in April that listed Heat, Blazing Saddles, Purple Rain, Around the World in 80 Days, and Wyatt Earp all getting special editions this year. So far, all of them have came true except Heat. I think the chances of it coming out are pretty good.

I have a feeling Heat will come out next year since that marks the film's 10th anniversary. Hopefully WB will prove me wrong and release it for this winter.

According to the digitalbits rumor mill that is the plan. They said expect it to arrive at the end of the year. Good news.

Collateral is tenatively scheduled to be released on 12/14, so I would guess that's the target date.
